Chrisma Braids

It’s giving SCAM! I wouldn’t waste my money here. They have no respect for your time and do not give you quality braids for the price. I gave 1 star because the place was very clean, but the staff seemed to have no customer service skills. I arrived on time for my appointment on July 15 at 10:30am and sat for a half hour before anyone touched my hair. They did not prepare the hair for my appointment at all. In total, I sat in the chair for 12 hours for the BHB braids. Just two days later, my hair was falling out in clumps. It’s a complete waste of time and money. I feel as though I was scammed. I reached out to the owner to see about getting the hair redone since it costs so much money to do and I want to get my moneys worth, but again I’m dealing with the terrible customer service. I guess we will see if this can be fixed, but I doubt it. Update: Owner responded with hostility, I guess she read the review haha. All she had to do was work with me, but she’s very unprofessional. Get services at your own discretion, but I would advise against, given their gouged prices.

This salon was an alternative since my regular salon was booked. I called the number listed under the description, asked if there was availability in the schedule, the lady told me yes and to walk in. I arrived 10 minutes later. I was impressed with the salon. The shop was clean and the decor was really cute. Upon walking in I was greeted with smiles and salutations. I told one of the ladies I called for cornrows she told me to take a seat as braiders were assisting clients. About 15 to 20 minutes later the owner (I assume) came in and started me right away. I got 6 cornrows which were very clean, neat and well done. The owner was pleasant and courtesy. Overall I had a great experience and would definitely recommend this business to others. I look forward to returning for my next style.

I’ve been back and forth about whether or not I would write a review about my services here. What solidified my decision to do so was the complications I experienced in taking out my Senegalese twists. Her reviews are so positive so I was reluctant because she may have just had an off day. But I encountered a number of issues with this experience. 1. She texted me at 12:00 in the morning asking me to move my appointment to an earlier time the day before my appointment. Of course I said yes because it was days before a vacation and it was too short notice to find someone else. However, that was completely unprofessional. 2. My appointment was supposed to last 2 hours. I was there for EIGHT hours. She stopped two separate times both over an hour long for different reasons without even asking if I minded. Again, unprofessional. 3. (Here is where the true issues begin). My twists were not consistent in shape or size. Some started as a braid, went into a twist, and ended in a braid. Others started as a braid, went into a twist, and ended in a twist. 4. I think my biggest upset was some braids had my natural hair knotted into the end of the braid so I had to cut my own hair. Although I was completely dissatisfied with my services I still left her a tip because I recognize and understand hard working black women. However, I want it to be known that my experience was horrible and while she has great reviews everything that glitters is not gold. I attached a few photos of some of the issues I mentioned. Update: After washing and deep conditioning I found I had a substantial amount of hair loss; both in my hair and my edges. I attached a picture of the lost hair. I had my twists in just under 3 weeks. I have never lost that much hair from my twists before; even twists I’ve had longer than a month!

these people were insanely unprofessional, and picked a fight with me in front of the other customers. I work in an industry dealing with many people daily, and am a friendly and bubbly person. I don’t appreciate when I go to get my boho braids done and the staff treats me with the nastiest attitudes….for what? not to mention they should not be offering this boho braids style until they have completely mastered it. I had hair coming out of the braid after a week. its been randomly unraveling. also, the hair they provide is not good quality. I will return to my previous braider (who gets booked out frequently) because they charged the same amount as chrisma braids but the hair and braids were 100x better. that style lasted me almost 3 months in good condition. There was another customer that came in during my appt who was upset about her boho braids and wanted them fixed, fyi. Book an appt with these people at your risk, dont say that you havent been warned.

I want to say THANK YOU SO MUCH TO CHRISMA BRAIDS... MY HAIR WAS A HUGE HIT!!! Everyone kept saying how beautiful my hair looked at the wedding. As the Mother of the Groom it was so important to me that I represented myself in a manner that was befitting of my role as a Mom. A mom of 5 whose oldest son was the first of my children to get married. I will be back in November!!! I'll happily send my deposit. The Physical Therapists at my job (Hospital) loved my hair. The patients both men and women have all commented on how beautiful my hair is. Your team is amazing, patient, kind, and friendly. Your space is professional stylish and very clean. This place is by far my favorite salon to go to, mind you this was my first time coming to this salon. Everyone was super sweet and made me laugh. Chrisma specifically attended to my hair the exact way that I wanted it to be. She took her time to make the braids look neat and beautifully parted. The other braiders that helped throughout the process were also very careful with my head (especially when it came to the hot water part). Everyone contributed beautiful work and the style came out GORGEOUS. They have gained a new costumer and I will definitely be back to get more of their styles. Thank you so much to Chrisma and her coworkers. You guys seriously have changed the game for everyone. Love you guys!!!!!!
